Jane Macintosh was born and educated in England. She studied jewellery at Sir John Cass School of Art as a second career, setting up her workshop in London in 1982. Her work has been shown widely in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands and the USA.
All Jane’s jewellery is individually made using traditional goldsmithing skills and with close attention to detail. She combines recycled silver with high carat gold, also recycled, and uses a matte finish to give a soft, tactile look and feel to her clean, symmetrical designs. As well as using gemstones as highlights in her pieces, she sometimes uses less precious minerals, such as slate, whose textures add interest and depth.
Please contact Jane for information about any of her work. She also works to commission and welcomes all enquiries. Her workshop is in Kentish Town, London, NW.
